A Partnership That Keeps Growing
Denver Cold Storage has supported Community Hive in a variety of ways over the years, but last year’s BBQ Bash gave our partnership a chance to grow in a new way.

They came on as a sponsor, attended the event, got more connected to our work, and since then have become one of our Annual Partners. This year, they are coming back to BBQ Bash as the sponsor of the Denver Cold Kids Zone.
For Denver Cold Storage, that growth was intentional.
“We always intended for our involvement with Community Hive to be a long-term commitment. We believe the greatest community impact comes from developing meaningful relationships and investing in them over time.”
That is really what our Annual Partnership Program is all about. It gives businesses a chance to support Community Hive throughout the year while also finding meaningful ways for their team to get involved.
Denver Cold Storage shared that the more they learned about Community Hive, the more connected they felt to the mission.
“As our relationship with Community Hive has grown, so has our understanding of the organization, the people behind it, and the impact of its work.”
And this year, they are taking that involvement even further. Their team is helping build games, paint structures, gather fall décor, and volunteer during the event to bring the Denver Cold Kids Zone to life. They are already busy creating some of the décor for the Kids Zone, including a fun photo station where kids can pop their heads in and snap a picture during the event.
“It allows us to support Community Hive financially while also giving our employees a hands-on opportunity to contribute, collaborate, and serve our community together.”

That hands-on piece is a big part of what makes the partnership special.
Denver Cold Storage’s core values are Family, Growth, Service, and Empowerment, and they see their involvement with Community Hive as one way to put those values into action.
When asked what they would tell another local business considering getting involved, their answer was simple:
“The obvious answer is get involved!”
They also shared that working with Community Hive feels less like a traditional sponsorship and more like a true partnership, with room to get involved in ways that fit their team and culture.
Join Us at BBQ Bash
You can see that partnership in action at our Third Annual BBQ Bash on Sunday, October 11 at the Ephrata Elks. BBQ Bash is Community Hive’s largest fundraiser of the year, bringing together great food, live music, family activities, raffles, and plenty of fun while supporting our work in the community.
We are also still selling $20 raffle tickets for the chance to win half a steer, approximately 300 pounds of beef. Tickets can be purchased with cash or check at the Community Hive office ahead of the event, and you do not need to attend BBQ Bash to win.
And if you do want to join us, BBQ Bash tickets are still available and advance purchase is required.

What started as another way for Denver Cold Storage to support Community Hive has grown into a year-round partnership, and we are grateful to have their team continuing to grow alongside us.
